Joseph Arnold Ngomba Ngame

On 8 September 1997, he was admitted at ENAP Buea. He graduated in 1999 as Administrator of Prisons. He made his professional debut with the then Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation-MINATD, precisely in the Cabinet of the Secretary of State in charge of Penitentiary Administration. In the year 2000, the title of Administrator of Prisons was conferred upon him.

August 2001 to July 2003, he was appointed Assistant Research Officer No.3 in the Department of Penitentiary Administration of MINATD. He became Assistant Research Officer No.2 in August 2003 up till July 2005.

22nd July 2005, Joseph Arnold NGOMBA NGAME became Superintendent of the Mamfe Prison. After 2 years of service, he was appointed to the Department of Penitentiary Administration of the Ministry of Justice.

January 2005, his penitentiary expertise was once again solicited, this time at the Mora Main Prison, Far North region. After over 4 years in Mora, he was transferred in the same capacity as Superintendent of Prisons to Monatélé, Centre region. After just 8 months in Monatélé, the prison administrator was transferred to the Nkongsamba Main Prison.

The call of duty from Nkongsamba to Ngaoundéré came on 15 February 2016. After administering for close to 3 years in Ngaoundéré, the Buea Central Prison came calling on 16 October 2018. That would be his last lap as far as prison administration is concerned.

Joseph Arnold NGOMBA NGAME’s career climaxed on 23 March 2020 when he was appointed Regional Delegate of Penitentiary Administration of the West region. He held this high command until 4 May 2023 when he was called to the office of Inspector General of Penitentiary Administration, Ministry of Justice in Yaoundé. NGOMBA NGAME Joseph Arnold has been knighted for his long-standing commitment and noble service to the State. He donnes the Medal of Merit of the Forces of Law and Order. He is also Knight of the Order of Merit in Cameroon.
