Some 34 Officers of the Penitentiary Administration – P.A. corps, working in the Centre of Cameroon, have been officially promoted to higher ranks. The epaulette ceremony which held on Wednesday 30 April 2025 at the premises of the Kondengui Central Prison in Yaoundé, was chaired by the Regional Delegate of P.A., MANANG Desire.
03 candidates, raised to the rank of Administrators General of Prisons – AGPs, through a Decree signed by the Prime Minister on 1st October 2024, were as follows: AKONO Roger Claude, NYOS Rose Marie Grace and NOUTA Liliane Armelle.
04 candidates were promoted to the rank of Senior Administrators of Prisons. They include IPUNI Max Albert Stephane MBODY, BILLA Guy Roger, ELLA ZANG Jean Alain Patrick and AKOMO Dominique Marlaine epouse IPUNI.
A Decision signed by the Minister of State, Minister Justice, Keeper of Seals, Laurent ESSO, elevated 10 officers to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Prisons. The last group of laureates – 17 of them – whose promotion was also signed by the Keeper of Seals was raised to the rank of Senior Prisons Warders.
The ceremony was rich in military traditions, fanfare and a breath-taking march past. It was heavily attended by P.A. top officers, government dignitaries, traditional rulers, families, friends, etc.
